Terms and Conditions

​​Enrolment and Payment​

All class registrations are final, rescheduling, package alterations or change of week accomodations cannot be guaranteed. Class cancellations/withdrawals will not be refunded.

​Students must pay for all courses at least 24 hours before the due start time of the class or may not be admitted to the course.
-
Cash and cheque will only be accepted if agreed previously with administration.

Bookings made for classes are final. One course switch per term will be allowed, subject to availability. Once a child has been switched to another course, they will remain in that course for the remainder of the term.

Terms and missed classes don't roll over to the next term. Once the term has finished you will be automatically re-enrolled in the next term, please advise if you would like to withdraw from the term

​Trial Classes
These are a fully paid non-refundable classes for you/your child to try and ultimately make a decision on joining the group.

one trial class/package per customer only

after trials a term package must be purchased to remain in the class

one trial session reschedule per package only - admin fee of $50 per additional reschedule will be charged for subsequent changes.

trials must be taken at the same location and in the same class time, adjustments to schedule or location will not be accommodated​
-
trial classes may be denied if the selected class is working towards a show or performance in order to maintain a consistent progression for the group
-
trial packages - are only valid during the term they are purchased for and dates communicated by Move For Life Limited - unused classes are not valid in another term. ​​

Class Policy
-
Sheung Wan Location​
-
Classes with 1-2 students enrolled will go ahead however class duration will be reduced to 40minutes​
-
Classes with 3 students or more will have a class duration of 1 hour
-

All other locations
-
Classes with less than 4 students will be postponed until minimum student numbers have been reached. Students enrolled in classes with less than 4 students at the beginning of term will receive refunds, credits or make up classes for the sessions that were cancelled.

Specific teacher requests or specific student groupings are not available for classes and camps, as students are grouped by closest age range and teachers are assigned by our scheduling team

Inclement Weather Policy
-
​Move For Life classes at the Sheung Wan Studio ONLY will be cancelled when:
-
T8/9/10 or black rain storm is hoisted 2 hours before the class - no refund for packages or paid classes will be provided.​

If the HK Observatory gives warning that a T8 or black rainstorm is expected to be hoisted with 2 hours of classes starting MFL reserves the right to cancel classes at their discretion - no refund for packages or paid classes will be provided.

Move For Life classes at the Sheung Wan Studio will resume if:
-
the T8 or black rainstorm warning is lowered 2 hours before your class start time, provided conditions are safe for students and staff to travel to the studios.

​Move For Life classes at all other locations will be cancelled when:

T3 or higher and/or red rain storm or higher signals are hoisted 2 hours before the class - no refund for packages or paid classes will be provided. **classes at these locations are subject to EDB guidelines.

If the HK Observatory gives warning that a T8 or black rainstorm is expected to be hoisted with 2 hours of classes starting MFL reserves the right to cancel classes at their discretion - no refund for packages or paid classes will be provided.

Move For Life classes at Causeway Bay, TKO, Wan Chai, Tai Po will resume if:

the T3 or red rainstorm warning is lowered 2 hours before your class start time, provided conditions are safe for students and staff to travel to the locations. **classes at these locations are subject to EDB guidelines.

In Studio Hiring will still be available during a T8 and will only be closed when there is a T10 hoisted before the hire. It is up to the user to determine whether they would like to go ahead with the booking during inclement weather of a T8/Black Rainstorm or higher. If the user chooses not to use the space their booking will be rescheduled pending availability. ​

​Partnership courses with other venues and school-based courses may be cancelled when there is a T3 as these courses are subject to the Education Bureau Guidelines, please check with the school/institution. In this instance no refund will be given for cancellation of contractually scheduled classes. ​​

Cancellations

Administration Cancellations
Class cancellations where Move For Life is directly responsible for the cancellation: including teacher sickness; teacher lateness of 20minutes or more; studio unavailability will be rescheduled and class fees will not be refunded.

Force Majure Cancellations
​Class cancellations where Move For Life has no control or responsibility for the cancellation: including but not limited to social unrest; government closures; inclement weather will not be rescheduled and class fees will not be refunded. ​

Customer Cancellations
​Class cancellations where the student has cancelled a registration including but not limited to schedule clash, child's preference change; travel; will not be will not be refunded, however we will accomodate a class schedule change. In the case of long term illness (1 months or more recovery required) that can be verified by doctors certificate, accomodations can be made on a case by case basis.
Refunds & Makeup Classes
Move For Life Classes

In the case of Move For Life classes that are not run in partnership with a school or other bodies Move For Life will provide '2' make up sessions for missed classes at any of the participating class locations (Causeway Bay, Tai Po, Tseung Kwan O, Sheung Wan) at any time within the same term providing there is space for another child to attend the desired class. You are eligible to attend the same type of class at another location within the term (please see term dates on the schedule page of this website) of the missed class. Please confirm this with administration first in-case the class you wish to attend is at capacity.

​Move For Life do not offer make up classes after the term of the missed class. If you fail to redeem a makeup class within the term of the missed class the make-up class is forfeited. ​It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to organise make-up classes. ​

​
Classes in schools
-
Move For Life classes in schools are subject to the schools policy, in the absence of a school policy or if the school nominates to follow Move for Life's policy the above will apply.
​

In the case of school run ECA/ASA's Move For Life will only provide makeup sessions for missed or cancelled classes in partnership with the school if it is requested by the school administration.

​
Camps
-
​All camp bookings are final, rescheduling, package alterations or change of week accommodations cannot be guaranteed. Camp cancellations for any reason will not be refunded.​
​

In case of serious injury (broken bones or ligaments) and/or serious illness (new long term conditions) Move For Life will credit the monetary value of the remaining sessions fees paid if we receive a Doctor’s note explaining the long duration of recovery needed.
​

​In the case of failure to attend; lateness; or early leavers, Move For Life do not provide any refunds or Make-up Sessions. ​
​

If the camp is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances no refunds will be provided.
​
Course Conduct, Exclusions & Withdrawals
-
​Late arrivals may be refused entry to the class. Disruptive or upset children and adults will be asked to leave the dance room until they calm down.​
​
-
No external props are allowed into the classroom, external props include but are not limited to: balls, books, toys, etc.
​
-
No siblings or unpaid children are to be in the class (unless they are under 12 months old) when the class is being conducted.
​

Class teachers will admit or refuse entry, eject adults and/or students and decide what is considered an "external prop" at their discretion in order to maintain the quality and focus of the ongoing class.​
​

If a/an student/attendee is persistently disruptive, has an infectious disease or has any symptoms of one (such as high temperature, cough, runny nose, fever or rash), or if we feel their attendance affects the good atmosphere of the course, we may decide to exclude them, make-up class will be arranged for missed classes.​

​
​Parent and Guardian Conduct​

Parents and/or guardians for the under 2.5's classes are required to join and help their children during the class. If an adult is present in the class taking phone calls or other disruptive activities will lead to you being asked to leave the classroom.
​

For Mangoes classes and older, students should be dropped off and picked up for the class. Guardians are welcome to wait on site but should respect the class in progress. Please remain quiet and discreet to avoid interruption of the ongoing class.

Parties​

Booking
-
Bookings will be confirmed via email within 48hours (bookings made on weekends will be confirmed within 2 business days)​

​All bookings must be made via the online booking form, bookings attempted via email/whatsapp or other avenues will not be accepted.

​Payment​
-
​Teachers and materials are allocated to parties at the time of confirmation, all agreed sessions must be paid in full 7 days before the booking date.
-
Unpaid sessions are not confirmed and staff availability will not be guaranteed until payment has been received. All payments should be completed online, cash and cheque will only be accepted if agreed previously with administration. Party fees are determined by threshold of number of students in attendance ie. up to 10, 11-20, 21 to 30.

After booking we must be informed of any extra attendees, if extra attendees increase to a higher fee threshold Move For Life must be notified and the fee difference must be paid in advance to ensure adequate staffing and material provision.

If extra attendees are present on the day of service they must be paid via cash, cheque, bank transfer, FPS or Payme prior to service provision. If payment is not made Move For Life reserves the right to refuse service.

Cancellations - Entertainment only

​Cancellations made 7 days in advance are eligible for a full refund.

Cancellations made between 7 days and 72 hours in advance are eligible for a 50% refund.

Cancellations made within 72 hours of the party date are non-refundable - Non refundable cancellations may be rescheduled.

Cancellations made by Move For Life are eligible for a full refund​

Cancellations made between 14 days in advance are eligible for a 50% refund - 50% deposit will not be returned.

Cancellations made within 14 days of booking are non-refundable - Non refundable cancellations may be rescheduled pending availability.

Force Majure Cancellations

​Party cancellations due to: social unrest; government closures; inclement weather can be rescheduled for another suitable date.

Materials​

​Move For Life will provide adequate staff and all required materials to deliver the specified service

- ​Lost or Damaged Studio Property
-
Cleaning Fee
A cleaning fee of HKD 500 will be charged if the studio is left in a condition that requires additional cleaning beyond normal wear and tear. This fee covers the costs associated with restoring the studio to its original condition. -
Broken Item Fee
In the event that any studio property is broken or damaged during use, a fee of HKD 500 will be assessed for the repair or replacement of the item. This fee will be charged to cover the costs incurred in fixing or replacing the damaged property. -
Rubbish Disposal
All rubbish must be disposed of in designated bins located. Please ensure that all food waste and recyclables are separated appropriately. Failure to follow rubbish disposal guidelines may result in additional cleaning fees. -
Space Handover
At the end of your booking, the studio must be returned in the same condition as it was received. This includes: -
All equipment returned to its original place.
Floors cleared of any debris or personal items.
Surfaces wiped down and free of spills.
All rubbish disposed of as per the guidelines.
Failure to adhere to these handover requirements may result in additional fees. -
Reporting Damages
All damages or lost items must be reported immediately to studio administration. Failure to report any damage may result in additional charges. -
Payment
All fees related to cleaning and broken items will be charged directly to your payment method on file.

​Mirror Policy
Touching and Adjusting: Please do not touch or adjust the mirrors under any circumstances.
Protection: Users are required to take proper precautions to protect the mirrors from damage, including avoiding any activities that may cause impact or scratches.
Damage Fees: Any damage to the mirrors will incur a repair or replacement fee, with costs determined by studio management.​

Injury or Loss of Possessions

Move For Life ltd. takes no responsibility for injury or illness of students as result of attending our classes.

Move For life takes no responsibility of loss of personal belongings of students attending our classes.
​

Media
-
​Move For Life reserves the right to use photographs/video taken in-class for marketing and promotional purposes. For parents/guardian, photos and videos may only be taken with the written permission from Move For Life and parents/guardian may ONLY take photographs/videos focusing only on their own child and not on the other children in the class.​
​
Health & Safety
​In order that we maintain appropriate standards of health and safety, you are responsible for disclosing any prior medical or physical conditions on this form and also to the teacher before the class starts. If you are in any doubt as to the suitability of the course please consult your doctor.
You expressly acknowledge that engagement in dance under the care and supervision of Move For Life in the course of tuition or as a matter of free form dance in social dance engagement, is a physical activity of medium to high aerobic demand AND that engagement in dance may occasion falls, sprains or twisted ligaments, respiratory or cardiovascular stress (in persons with respiratory or cardiovascular disabilities). The student/attendee (or parent/guardian) covenants with Move For Life that the student/attendee has sought all appropriate medical advice prior to the acceptance of this invitation to ensure the student/attendee (or parent/guardian) is in good physical condition fully able to undertake the aerobic demands of dance (including without limitation fast tempo dance) at the date hereof AND FURTHER the student/attendee (or parent/guardian) accepts and assumes ALL RESPONSIBILITY for any loss, damage, injury or adverse consequence suffered by the student/attendee (or parent/guardian) as a result of engaging in dance AND INDEMNIFIES Move For Life in respect of any claim by or through the student/attendee (or parent/guardian) in the event of injury to or demise of the student/attendee (or parent/guardian) as a consequence of engaging in dance excluding only loss or damage suffered as the direct consequence of negligent breach of duty of care by Move For Life.

The student/attendee (or parent/guardian) acknowledges that some physical contact may be necessary by the course instructor.​
​
​
Liability

​Move For Life does not accept liability for personal injury or the death of any student/attendee unless directly caused by the proven negligence of the company or its staffs.
​
Ability to Accept Terms of Service

You affirm that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age, and are fully able and competent to enter into this Agreement, conditions, obligations, affirmations, representations, and warranties set forth in this Agreement, and to abide by and comply with this Agreement.

General
-
Move For Life Ltd reserves the right to amend this Agreement at any time and without notice, and it is your responsibility to review this Agreement for any changes. Your use of the Website following any amendment of this Agreement will signify your assent to and acceptance of its revised terms.

Disclaimer​

The terms and conditions set out are subject to change without prior written notice from Move For Life. It is the student/attendee (or parent/guardian) responsibility to check on the terms & conditions of Move For Life from time to time. We retain the right of final decisions and interpretation in all matters and disputes in relation to the registration and programs. We shall not be responsible or liable for any claims or liability resulting from the registration, classes or programs suffered or incurred.
